Amy Foster Joseph Conrad 9781468077513 Books
This review is from: Amy Foster (Kindle Edition)In a dense and beautiful prose, the story of the reception of the miraculous survivor of a shipwreck in a community on the seashore. Heartrending and still a vivid questioning of our capacity to accept the other. Excellent kindle text, albeit without the useful notes of the penguin edition of conrad tales of which I own a paper copy. Funnily, Amazon has censored a previous draft of this review most probably because of a n word which is used by Conrad in the title of his story which gives also the title of the volume. Suffice it to say that the end of the title is " of the Narcissus". Another beautiful tale of meeting the other's face.

Amy Foster Joseph Conrad 9781468077513 Books Reviews
Read it after watching the movie. As somebody said after seeing John Huston's film The Bible "saw the movie, loved the book."
I read this on my and it was a fairly quick read, with a touching, well-written story. It is one of the many great classics available for free download on with Prime membership.
The movie "Swept From The Sea" is the reason I read this book. I enjoyed the movie and the book.
One of the things I love about reading Conrad is that his books and short stories always leave me pondering the human condition. As a student of psychology, this story was intriguing in its twists and turns as it demonstrated the failings of prejudice.
